Malini Sekhar


 
Malini Sekhar Malini Sekhar is a research associate with the Center for Advanced Study of India (CASI). She began work with CASI in September 2007 after recently relocating to Philadelphia. Her work at CASI thus far has consisted of research work linked to program planning and development for the Center.

Before this work, Malini worked with Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, a global organization that pioneered the concept of social entrepreneurship, and she continues to undertake short-term projects with them. She completed her Masters degree in Sustainable International Development at the Heller School for Social Policy & Management, and her B.A. in Political Science at Wellesley College. Additional prior experiences have included work with ActionAid-India in Karnataka as it relates to addressing gender-based violence in the region, Trout Unlimited – a national conservation organization, and the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. Malini’s main interests lie in: issues surrounding human development, including gender and development, and social communications.
