India in Transition: Economics and Politics of Change Our online publication, India in Transition (IiT), allows scholars from all over the world, the opportunity to exchange various analyses and innovative ideas about India's current status and growth. A complete archive of issues is maintained here. From 1997 to 2006, the Center published a semiannual journal analyzing economic trends in the context of complex political, social, and cultural changes affecting the business environment in India. In doing so, IiT aimed to broaden public knowledge about the intersection of sociopolitical changes and economic policies that shape opportunities for investment, growth, and social welfare in India. In 2007, IiT began operating solely as an online publication. The Center continues to establish a wide range of writers who are acknowledged experts in their fields and who come from diverse backgrounds and professions, while continuing to aggressively expand a writers' base that will feed IiT into the future. In addition to appearing on CASI's website, all IiT articles are published in the op-ed pages of the Indian newspapers, Hindustan, that has nearly 25 million in readership, and in Livemint, an online publication launched in collaboration with The Wall Street Journal. All viewpoints, positions, and conclusions expressed in IiT are solely those of the author(s) and not specifically those of CASI. Publications and noteworthy news related to India; written by CASI and/or affiliates.
