In the latest issue of India in Transition, CASI Non-Resident Visiting Fellow Swagato Ganguly examines the specificities of secular discourse in India, grounded in East-West binaries and a sense of Indian exceptionalism, that mire it in identity politics and create vulnerabilities available to be exploited by majoritarian arguments.
